Bio

F. Denise Gibson Bailey was inspired by three generations of teachers in her family to pursue a career in teaching and academia. She began her early career honing her business skills in the corporate and not for profit worlds which she gladly shares with her students today.  She is a respected business leader, community servant, mom and wife.

Professor Gibson Bailey proudly teaches, inspires, mentors her students with meaningfully and authentic academic experiences. As an enthusiastic and devoted educator, Professor Gibson Bailey strives to inspire each student to stretch their levels of intellectual curiosity!

Teaching Philosophy

F. Denise Gibson Bailey works diligently to help students recognize her genuine passion for teaching and her interest in each of them as individuals. Her teaching goals are for each class to be challenging but fair, engaging and enlightening, culturally sensitive and fun. She challenges herself to provide a high-quality learning experiences, by integrating a variety of teaching tools and evaluation strategies designed to meet the varied student learning styles. Her teaching plan begins with an outline of the theory and through that, she facilitates students’ understanding of the practical application in today’s environments.  Her teaching objective in this process is to inspire each student to stretch their levels of intellectual curiosity!
